(March 10, 2026) — Pines of Sarasota Foundation is proud to announce it has received a $25,000 grant from The Henson Fund to support The Learning Tree, the childcare program located on the Pines of Sarasota campus. For more than three decades, The Learning Tree has provided a nurturing and stimulating environment for children ages six months to five years.

Pines of Sarasota Foundation is pleased to welcome Kathleen McCoy as Director of Development. In this crucial role, McCoy will be responsible for building relationships between Pines of Sarasota Foundation and the community.
After a national search, the Pines of Sarasota Foundation Board of Trustees has named Andrea Stephens as the organization’s new President. Stephens joined the Foundation as Director of Development in 2018 and has been serving as Interim President since September 2023.
Pines of Sarasota Foundation has received a transformational donation from the Esther & Harold Mertz Foundation that will fully fund the construction of a new 90 bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation building on the Pines of Sarasota campus, as well as a new building for Pines’ Child Care and Learning Center.
